EV Fuse fault diagnosis, learn judgment and solutions

Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 1234

EV Fuse is a wire that cannot be ignored in the car circuit. Although many electrical devices in the car circuit have wires of different colors, the role of the fuse is to protect the circuit and electrical equipment of the electrical device.

Use a fuse when the current of the circuit exceeds the rated current of the fuse. When the voltage is doubled, the fuse will break in a few seconds to protect the circuit.

What are the symptoms if the EV Fuse is broken and the corresponding solutions provided?

(1) The electric vehicle cannot be started or charged.
(2) The car's electronic equipment (such as radio, air conditioner, etc.) cannot work properly.
(3) Alarms for circuit failures or short circuits in electric vehicles.

Solution:
(1) Check the fuse: First, you need to check the fuse of the electric vehicle to confirm whether there is a burnt or broken fuse.
(2) Replace the fuse: If the fuse is found to be damaged, it needs to be replaced with a new fuse of the same specifications. Before replacing the fuse, be sure to disconnect the power supply and follow the vehicle's manual or the advice of a professional technician.

EV Fuse fault diagnosis method

  • When you find that an electrical device in your vehicle is malfunctioning, the first step is to check the fuse box.
  • The fuse box is usually located in the front of the cab and can be found through the operating instructions or vehicle logo.
  • After opening the fuse box, you will find a row of fuses, each with a logo indicating the corresponding circuit device.
  • When checking the fuse, you can observe it with the naked eye. If you find that the fuse is broken or burned black, then this fuse is one of the causes of the failure.
  • Next, find the circuit device corresponding to the faulty fuse based on the fuse identification.
  • You can confirm the current level of the faulty fuse by comparing the appearance and color of other normal fuses, and select a spare fuse of the same specification for replacement.
  • Under normal circumstances, spare fuses can be purchased in the vehicle's spare parts kit or at an auto parts store.
  • Before replacing the EV Fuse, make sure the vehicle's power is turned off.
  • Gently remove the faulty fuse by hand and insert the replacement fuse into the corresponding socket.
  • When inserting the fuse, make sure the plug is upright and firmly inserted into the socket to avoid poor contact or looseness.
  • After installing the spare fuse, you can confirm whether the problem has been solved by test driving.
  • If the fault persists, it may be due to other reasons.

After replacing the fuse, if the problem persists, you may need to call a professional technician for further diagnosis and repair. EV fuse damage is usually caused by circuit failure or overload, so the root problem needs to be found and solved to prevent the fuse from being damaged again.
